I have been walking on the beach trying to capture the wings outstretched glory of the cormorant saluting the morning and the rising sun for the best part of six weeks now. Every morning and evening. The little cheekies have been sat all over the pier wafting their wings at me and the sky. They have been perched on top of these markers daily. But no wing flapping there. Then purely by chance, just as I turned round to pick up a dropped feather (that’s a whole other story), this beauty had her wings stretched out greeting the morning. There is something so ethereal about them, they make me think of  glorious angels of the beach, safeguarding the shore. It’s been a lesson in patience for an impatient person.
